Product Information

Clozapine is a 5H-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]diazepine derivative with a chloro group at position 8 and a 4-methylpiperazin-1-yl group at position 11. It is a second-generation antipsychotic used to treat schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders. Clozapine acts as a serotonergic, dopaminergic, adrenergic, histamine, muscarinic, and GABA antagonist, and inhibits prolyl oligopeptidase (EC 3.4.21.26). It is also a xenobiotic, environmental contaminant, and belongs to the classes of benzodiazepine, N-methylpiperazine, N-arylpiperazine, and organochlorine compounds.
