Product Information

Imetit is an imidothiocarbamic ester derived from isothiourea, with the thiol hydrogen replaced by a 2-(imidazol-4-yl)ethyl group. It is a potent, high-affinity agonist at H3 and H4 receptors (Ki values of 0.3 and 2.7 nM, respectively). It induces eosinophil shape change with an EC50 of 25 nM and is centrally active after systemic administration. It functions as both a H3- and H4-receptor agonist, belongs to the imidazole class, and is an imidothiocarbamic ester. It is also the conjugate base of imetit(2+).
