Product Information

Daprodustat is a barbiturate derived from barbituric acid, substituted with cyclohexyl groups at positions 1 and 3, and a (carboxymethyl)aminocarbonyl group at position 5. It is an inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase, developed by GlaxoSmithKline for the treatment of anaemia in patients with chronic kidney disease. It functions as an anti-anaemic agent, an EC 1.14.11.29 inhibitor, and an antiviral agent. It belongs to the classes of barbiturates, secondary carboxamides, N-acylglycine, and oxo monocarboxylic acids.
