Crizotinib is a 3-[1-(2,6-dichloro-3-fluorophenyl)ethoxy]-5-[1-(piperidin-4-yl)pyrazol-4-yl]pyridin-2-amine with R configuration at the chiral center. It is the active enantiomer and functions as a kinase inhibitor, used in the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It serves as an antineoplastic agent, biomarker, and inhibitor of EC 2.7.10.1 (receptor protein-tyrosine kinase). It is an enantiomer of ent-crizotinib.
