Product Information

Felodipine is the mixed (methyl, ethyl) diester of 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid. As a selective calcium-channel blocker, it reduces peripheral vascular resistance by acting on arteriolar smooth muscle, thereby lowering blood pressure. It is used in the treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris. Felodipine functions as a calcium channel blocker, antihypertensive, vasodilator, and anti-arrhythmia drug. It is classified as a dihydropyridine, dichlorobenzene, ethyl ester, and methyl ester.
