Sodium meclofenamate monohydrate is the monohydrate form of the sodium salt of meclofenamic acid. It is used to treat dysmenorrhoea, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. It functions as an analgesic, anticonvulsant, antineoplastic agent, antipyretic, antirheumatic drug, inhibitor of EC 1.13.11.34 (arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase) and EC 1.14.99.1 (prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase), and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It contains sodium meclofenamate (anhydrous).
