1-D-1,2-anhydro-myo-inositol is a conduritol epoxide formed by the formal epoxidation of the double bond in (+)-conduritol B. It acts as an inhibitor of EC 3.2.1.48 (sucrose alpha-glucosidase) and EC 3.2.1.10 (oligo-1,6-glucosidase). It is functionally related to (+)-conduritol B and is the enantiomer of 1-L-1,2-anhydro-myo-inositol.
