Rolapitant is an azaspiro compound, specifically 1,7-diazaspiro[4.5]decan-2-one, with additional phenyl and 1-{[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]ethoxy}methyl groups at position 8. It is used as the hydrochloride hydrate for the prevention of delayed nausea and vomiting associated with emetogenic cancer chemotherapy. It is the conjugate base of rolapitant(1+).
