Lupeol

Lupeol is a pentacyclic triterpenoid lupane with a hydroxy group at the 3beta position. It is found in the skin of lupin seeds, the latex of fig trees and rubber plants, and in many edible fruits and vegetables. It functions as an anti-inflammatory agent and a plant metabolite. It is a secondary alcohol and derives from a lupane hydride.
