Phellamurin is a dihydroflavonol belonging to the class of dihydroflavonols, specifically a (+)-dihydrokaempferol substituted with a prenyl group at position 8 and a beta-D-glucopyranosyl group at position 7 via a glycosidic linkage. Isolated from *Phellodendron amurense* and *Commiphora africana*, it inhibits intestinal P-glycoprotein. It functions as a metabolite and is classified as a flavanone glycoside, trihydroxyflavanone, monosaccharide derivative, beta-D-glucoside, and 4'-hydroxyflavanone. It is functionally related to (+)-dihydrokaempferol.
