Product Information

Bufalin is a 14beta-hydroxy steroid, specifically bufan-20,22-dienolide, with hydroxy groups at the 5beta- and 14beta-positions. Isolated from the skin of *Bufo bufo*, it functions as an antineoplastic agent, cardiotonic drug, anti-inflammatory agent, and animal metabolite. It is also a 3beta-hydroxy steroid and functionally related to a bufanolide.
