Clidinium bromide is the bromide salt of clidinium. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of peptic ulcer disease and to relieve abdominal or stomach spasms and cramps caused by colicky pain, diverticulitis, and irritable bowel syndrome. It functions as a parasympatholytic, antispasmodic, and anti-arrhythmia drug. It is a quaternary ammonium and organic bromide salt containing clidinium. It is functionally related to benzilic acid and 3-quinuclidinol.
