Tetflupyrolimet is an N-alkylpyrrolidine substituted with methyl, oxo, (2-fluorophenyl)aminocarbonyl, and 3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl groups at positions 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. It is a herbicide developed by FMC Corporation for controlling grass weeds in rice, as well as key broadleaf weeds and sedges. It functions as a pyrimidine synthesis inhibitor and an inhibitor of EC 1.3.5.2 (dihydroorotate dehydrogenase, quinone). It is classified as an anilide, a secondary carboxamide, a member of monofluorobenzenes and (trifluoromethyl)benzenes, and a pyrrolidinecarboxamide.
