Pomalidomide is an aromatic amine and a dicarboximide, structurally derived from thalidomide with an amino group at position 4 of the isoindole ring. It functions as an antineoplastic agent, immunomodulator, and angiogenesis inhibitor. Used in the treatment of multiple myeloma in patients who have not responded to prior therapies. It is a member of isoindoles, piperidones, and aromatic amines, and is functionally related to thalidomide.
