Zipalertinib is an acrylamide derivative of (8S)-6-methyl-5-(quinolin-3-yl)-8,9-dihydropyrimido[5,4-b]indolizine-4,8-diamine, with the amino group at position 8S replaced by an acryloyl group. It is a covalent epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor targeting exon 20 insertion mutations. It functions as an antineoplastic agent, apoptosis inducer, and EGFR antagonist.
