Ombitasvir is a dipeptide derivative used in combination with dasabuvir sodium hydrate, paritaprevir, and ritonavir (Viekira Pak) for treating chronic hepatitis C virus genotype 1 infection and liver cirrhosis. It functions as an antiviral drug and hepatitis C virus nonstructural protein 5A inhibitor. It belongs to pyrrolidines, carbamate esters, aromatic amides, and dipeptides, and is functionally related to Val-Pro.
