Capivasertib is an aminopiperidine with substituents at positions 1, 4, and 4: 7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl, amino, and [(1S)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxypropyl]aminocarbonyl groups, respectively. It is a pan-AKT kinase inhibitor used in combination with fulvestrant for treating adult patients with HR-positive, HER2-negative, locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer that has one or more PIK3CA/AKT1/PTEN alterations. It functions as an antineoplastic agent and an inhibitor of EC 2.7.11.1 (non-specific serine/threonine protein kinase). It is classified as a pyrrolopyrimidine, aminopiperidine, piperidinecarboxamide, monochlorobenzene, primary alcohol, and secondary carboxamide.
