GSK-923295 is an imidazopyridine with the structure of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine substituted by 4-{(2S)-2-[3-chloro-4-(propan-2-yloxy)benzamido]-3-[(N,N-dimethylglycyl)amino]propyl}phenyl and (1S)-1-hydroxyethyl groups at positions 2 and 8, respectively. It is an allosteric inhibitor of CENP-E kinesin motor ATPase activity (Ki = 3.2 nM for human and 1.6 nM for canine CENP-E motordomains). It functions as a centromere protein E inhibitor, antineoplastic agent, and antimitotic. It is a secondary carboxamide, benzamide, aromatic ether, secondary alcohol, imidazopyridine, tertiary amino compound, and monochlorobenzene.
