Cefodizime

Cefodizime is a cephalosporin with side groups at positions 3 and 7: 5-(carboxymethyl)-4-methyl-1,3-thiazol-2-ylsulfanyl methyl and 2-(2-amino-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)-2-(methoxyimino)acetyl amino, respectively. It functions as an antibacterial drug and EC 1.14.18.1 (tyrosinase) inhibitor. It is a member of 1,3-thiazoles and an oxime O-ether.
