Benzydamine is an indazole derivative with a benzyl group at position 1 and a 3-(dimethylamino)propyl group at position 3. It is a locally-acting nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug with local anesthetic and analgesic properties. It functions as a central nervous system stimulant, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, hallucinogen, local anesthetic, and analgesic. It belongs to the classes of indazoles, aromatic ethers, and tertiary amines, and is the conjugate base of benzydamine(1+).
