Undecylprodigiosin

Undecylprodigiosin is a tripyrrole with 1H-pyrrole groups substituted by (4'-methoxy-1H,5'H-[2,2'-bipyrrol]-5'-ylidene)methyl at position 2 and an undecyl group at position 5. It is a pigment produced by *Streptomyces coelicolor*. It functions as an apoptosis inducer, bacterial metabolite, antineoplastic agent, antibacterial agent, radiosensitizing agent, immunosuppressive agent, and biological pigment. It is classified as an aromatic ether, tripyrrole, and alkaloid.
