Pazopanib is a pyrimidine compound with the structure 5-(pyrimidin-2-yl)amino-2-methylbenzenesulfonamide substituted at position 4 by a (2,3-dimethylindazol-6-yl)(methyl)amino group. It is used as its hydrochloride salt in the treatment of kidney cancer. It functions as an antineoplastic agent, tyrosine kinase inhibitor, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor antagonist, and angiogenesis modulating agent. It belongs to the classes of indazoles, aminopyrimidines, and sulfonamides. It is the conjugate base of pazopanib(1+).
