Ribostamycin is an amino cyclitol glycoside and aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by *Streptomyces ribosidificus* (formerly *S. thermoflavus*). It is a 4,6-diaminocyclohexane-1,2,3-triol with a 2,6-diamino-2,6-dideoxy-alpha-D-glucosyl residue at position 1 and a beta-D-ribosyl residue at position 2. It functions as an antimicrobial agent, antibacterial drug, and metabolite. It is the conjugate base of ribostamycin(4+).
