Finafloxacin is a quinolone, specifically 4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid, substituted at positions 1, 6, 7, and 8 with cyclopropyl, fluoro, hexahydro-pyrrolo[3,4-b][1,4]oxazin-6-yl, and cyano groups, respectively. It is an antibiotic used to treat acute otitis externa caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. It functions as an antimicrobial agent and antibacterial drug.
