Pipamperone is a bipiperidine compound with a 1,4'-bipiperidine core substituted at the 1' position by a 4-(p-fluorophenyl)-4-oxobutyl group and at the 4' position by a carboxamide group. It is a first-generation antipsychotic with properties similar to haloperidol. It functions as a serotonergic and dopaminergic antagonist. Pipamperone is a monocarboxylic acid amide, an aromatic ketone, an organofluorine compound, a member of bipiperidines, and a tertiary amino compound. It is the conjugate base of pipamperone(2+).
