Melphalan

Melphalan is a L-phenylalanine derivative with a [bis(2-chloroethyl)amino] group at the 4-position of the phenyl ring. It functions as an antineoplastic, carcinogenic, alkylating, immunosuppressive agent, and drug allergen. It is an organochlorine compound, a nitrogen mustard, and a non-proteinogenic L-alpha-amino acid.
