Palonosetron is an organic heterotricyclic compound and serotonergic antagonist used as an antiemetic. It is administered as its hydrochloride salt in combination with netupitant (trade name Akynzeo) to treat nausea and vomiting in cancer chemotherapy patients. It is a delta-lactam, azabicycloalkane, and conjugate base of palonosetron(1+).
