Product Information

Paromomycin sulfate is an aminoglycoside sulfate salt formed by treating paromomycin with sulfuric acid. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat acute and chronic intestinal protozoal infections, though it is ineffective against extraintestinal protozoal infections. It is also used therapeutically for visceral leishmaniasis. It functions as an antibacterial, antiprotozoal, anthelminthic, and antiparasitic agent, and is related to paromomycin.
