Product Information

Edrophonium chloride is the chloride salt of edrophonium, a reversible cholinesterase inhibitor with rapid onset (30-60 seconds) and short duration of action (5-15 minutes). It is used diagnostically in myasthenia gravis to differentiate between under- or over-treatment with other anticholinesterases, as well as for reversing neuromuscular blockade in anaesthesia and managing tetrodotoxin poisoning. It functions as a cholinesterase inhibitor, diagnostic agent, and antidote. It is a quaternary ammonium and chloride salt containing edrophonium.
