Product overview

Leecoll is a PVP-coated silica medium for density-gradient separation of cells and biological particles. Its low viscosity and compatibility with common buffers and culture media support sample-specific gradient preparation. In the supplied comparison, a 50% working solution centrifuged at 30,000 × g for 15 minutes formed a continuous gradient with a density distribution similar to Percoll (17-0891). This comparison supports evaluation as a Percoll alternative under the tested conditions. Adjust working density, osmolality and centrifugation conditions for your sample.

Handling & use

  • Compatible with common buffers and culture media for preparing application-specific working gradients. Stock density is 1.130 ± 0.005 g/mL; prepare the working solution for the intended sample.
  • The technical sheet describes autoclaving of the stock medium. Confirm a validated procedure for the intended formulation before heat treatment.
